July 20 () –

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has informed this Thursday that as of this Friday, July 21, all ships that sail in the waters of the Black Sea in the direction of Russian ports and Ukrainians that are located in the occupied territories will be considered as military cargo transportation

Ukraine’s decision comes as a consequence of a similar decision taken by Russia a day earlier after its recent withdrawal from the grain export agreement, after its refusal to agree to a new extension due to alleged breaches of it by the Ukrainian party.

“Russia has once again brutally violated the universal right to free navigation for the whole world and is deliberately undermining food security, condemning millions of people to starvation,” begins the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, published in your Telegram account.

“By openly threatening civilian ships carrying food from Ukrainian ports, launching missile and drone strikes against civilian infrastructure in peaceful cities, and deliberately creating a military threat on trade routes, the Kremlin has turned the Black Sea into a zone of danger”, denounced the Kiev authorities.

“Responsibility for all risks falls entirely on the Russian leadership,” says Ukraine, warning of the capacity of its Armed Forces, referring to the “Moskva” military ship, hit by Ukrainian forces just under a month after the start of the invasion.

“The Ukrainian Defense Forces have the necessary means to repel Russian aggression at sea,” Ukraine stressed.
