The collaboration between Swagg and call of duty did not come to fruition

Swagg is one of the content creators of call of duty most important, since it has more than 2.86 million subscribers on YouTube and for the first time he spoke about the talks he had with Activision to launch a weapon blueprint package.

The package was never officially revealed, but only learned about it thanks to a datamine, which reported the contents and was linked to Swagg because it had its logo. Thus began the speculation about a possible collaboration and as his fans continued to ask him, the streamer finally broke his silence.

According to Swagg, in April Activision contacted him about doing a collaboration with call of duty and create a skin or weapon blueprint in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II that he had designed in conjunction with Activision creatives.

“It meant a lot to me because I’ve dedicated my entire career to this. [Call of Duty] and being able to show up in the game in some capacity… the ultimate joy,” Swagg said.

Swagg says that after meetings and brainstorming he had the opportunity to see a prototype of the object and thanks to this he was able to estimate that what appeared in the datamine was the 40% finished product.

According to the streamer, Activision explained that it was going in a “different direction” and would be leaving this collaboration behind.

Although Swagg admits that this hurt him a lot, he made it clear that it is not about blaming anyone else and that he has no resentment towards those involved in the controversy that prevented his collaboration with call of duty come true.

“But like I said, some things are for you and some are not, and that [la colaboración con Call of Duty] It was one of those things that just wasn’t going to happen,” Swagg said with resignation and wisdom, although without losing hope that there would be another opportunity in the future. “I understand that it’s a business.”
