July 17 () –
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have estimated this Sunday at least 38,300 Russian soldiers killed since the beginning of the invasion, unleashed on February 24 by order of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.
In a statement, the Ukrainian Army has indicated that, in addition, the kyiv forces have destroyed 1,684 tanks, 220 planes, 188 helicopters, 688 drones and fifteen ships, among others.
This same Sunday, the British Government has warned that Russia is reinforcing its defense positions in the occupied areas of southern Ukraine as it advocates reinforcing its operations.
The UK Ministry of Defense has further indicated that Russian forces are moving military equipment between the cities of Mariupol and Zaporizhia as security in these cities is increased.
“The movements of the Russian defense forces respond to the idea of new offensives by Ukraine and to the demands made by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu,” the Ministry said.
British authorities put more than 50,000 Russian soldiers dead or wounded since the war began. In addition, they consider that almost 1,700 Russian tanks have been destroyed.
