Bankinter begins to experiment with ChatGPT for internal and private use

July 17 () –

Bankinter has decided to start a pilot test with ChatGPT, integrating it for internal use by employees and guaranteeing privacy when using its own cloud, as reported in a statement.

This first pilot test will be carried out by integrating a ‘chatbot’ in the Teams application. At the moment, only a small number of employees have access to it, but the bank’s intention is to test the capacities within the different areas of the bank and its scalability, so that it can be extended as a tool to all Bankinter subsidiaries.

It is a commercial version of ChatGPT that works in the private cloud of Azure (Microsoft’s cloud computing technology), so employees can work with internal bank data securely.

Among the possible areas of application, Bankinter has detailed that it will be possible to compare documents, have support to analyze texts, write certain internal or customer communications, translate or summarize large volumes of information, among other utilities. The financial entity has stressed that all this will always be supervised by the bank’s professionals.
