The Ukrainian authorities have denounced in the early hours of Sunday air attacks by Russian troops in the town of Mikolaiv, in southern Ukraine.

“About ten powerful explosions thundered in Mikolaiv. Beforehand, there is a fire,” the city’s mayor, Oleksandr Sienkovych, reported on his Telegram messaging channel account.

The mayor has communicated that he will expand the information when he has more details. He has also urged compliance with security regulations.

“The air alert continues. I ask everyone not to ignore the security rules!” Sienkovych asked.
