SPC highlights the Pro model from its new Discovery series, with a 50MP camera, which costs 160 euros

VITORIA, July 12 (Portaltic/EP) –

SPC has presented this Thursday its new series of ‘smartphones’ SPC Discovery Designed for comfort and day-to-day use, with the Discovery and Discovery Pro models, the latter standing out for its 50MP wide-angle camera and its 5,000 mAh battery, available for around 160 euros.

The Spanish technology company has unveiled its two new Discovery mobile devices with which it intends to position itself for “revolutionize the mid-range” with terminals to “quality-price” level, as well as advancing with “a qualitative leap” both in its characteristics for photography and in design, with “silky” touch finishes.

In this sense, the SPC Discovery Pro model stands out for its features designed to “get the most out of this device”, according to the manufacturer. To do this, it offers a 6.8 inch IPS LTPS screen which presents an FHD + resolution of 2,460 x 1.80 pixels. In addition, it includes Panda protection and a density of 396 ppi. Among other things, it also has the automatic brightness function and adaptive display to adjust in the best way at each moment of the day.

In other words, with this option, it shows more or less brightness depending on whether the device is being used indoors or outdoors but, in addition, it also adjusts depending on the hours of the day in which it is used. In this way, for example, when night falls it progressively blocks the amount of light emitted by the screen to help the eye get used to society.

SPC has also commented that this terminal -which comes in a single configuration of 6GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM- is equipped with a Unisco Octa Core T616 2GHz processor, as well as a battery with 5,000 mAh power, which allows intensive use of the device “throughout the day and without complications”, as SPC has remarked. In addition, it also has 18 W fast charging.

As for its design, it is a ‘smartphone’ with a design simple based on functionality, albeit with a “premium” finish according to Spc. This is due to its “silky” touch and its comfortable size with a thickness of 75.8mm and a weight of 202 grams, which makes it fit “comfortably in the hand”.

The SPC Discovery Pro, which has rounded bezels that facilitate this grip, will be available in dark blue (Deep Sky), with reflections that simulate halos of light.

50MP CAMERA

Another of the aspects that stand out from the Discovery Pro is its set of cameras, with which the company intends to offer the user the possibility of photographing “at a professional level”. To do this, it incorporates the combination of three lenses into its Core AI Camera.

The main lens is a 50MP wide angle with AI scene detection, the super sensor 5MP wide angle and 2MP macro camera. According to SPC, this combination implies a “significant quantum leap” in the photographic experience of its devices.

This is also due to his new omnivision sensor, with which it offers better images “in any situation”, even in low light conditions or photos on the move. In addition to all this, with this combination of cameras it allows you to record videos in Full HD quality. On the other hand, the selfie camera is 8MP and is integrated into the screen with the O Display design.

The section of the camera is equipped with different intelligent options to facilitate the user capture high-definition images and videos. Thus, this series of ‘smartphones’ has an automatic mode as default configuration, but it also has HDR mode, Face Beauty function and a wide variety of filters with which to “enhance” the photographs taken from the ‘smartphone’.

However, with manual mode, Discovery mobiles allow the user to adjust features such as brightness, shutter speed, focus, ISO or white balance to their liking. Likewise, it integrates special modes such as the Portrait, Panoramic, Slow Motion or Timelapse.

Among other useful functions for the day-to-day users, the Discovery series has a fingerprint reader on the side of the ‘smartphone’ as an unlocking method. This function adds a layer of security and protects access to confidential applications or data, as SPC has recalled.

It also includes Smart Gesturesa function with which, through a combination of sensors, the ‘smartphone’ is capable of detecting when the user takes the phone in hand to activate the screen and display notifications.

Discovery phones, which work with Android 13feature AAC Bluetooth audio to boost streaming audio quality whether you connect a Bluetooth headset or opt for a speakerphone.

At the level of connectivity, they have USB-C connection, ensuring higher data transmission efficiency. Likewise, they also have NFC connection to make contactless payments Quickly and safely”.

SPC DISCOVERY

On the other hand, the other model presented has been the standard, SPC Discovery, which the company defines as a ‘smartphone’ designed for those users who are looking for a affordable device “without sacrificing performance”. In this sense, it shares many of its features with the Pro model, such as its design, operating system, and connectivity.

However, its performance is driven by the quad core processor at 2GHz of 12 nanometers (nm). This chip is accompanied by a configuration to choose between 64 and 128 GB of storage. His battery drops to 4,500 mAhHowever, SPC emphasizes its ability to support a range of two days of daily use.

As for its screen, it is a 6.5-inch HD+ panel. It also has Panda protection and IPS InCell technology, with which it ensures sharpness, performance and intelligent functions to optimize the battery.

Another feature that varies in relation to the Pro model is its camera. In the case of the SPC Discovery model, it includes a double rear lens composed of a 13MP wide-angle main sensor and a 2MP macro lens. It also supports video recording with Full HD quality at 60fps. For its part, the selfie camera is 5MP.

The SPC Discovery model is available in the colors dark gray (Dark Matter) for the version of 64GB of internal storage and in dark blue (Deep Sky) for the 128GB version.

The model SPC Discovery is now available to users for 109.90 euros for the version of 64GB and 129.90 euros for the 128GB version. On the other hand, the SPC model Discovery Pro will be available in the fall for 159.90 euros.
