Lama Ghosheh will have to serve nine months of public service in his place
July 12 (EUROPA PRESS) –
An Israeli court in Jerusalem has ordered on Tuesday the end of ten-month house arrest against the Palestinian journalist Lama Ghosheh, who must serve nine months of public service in her place.
In addition, he has been sentenced to a six-month suspension for three years, and must pay a fine of 4,500 shekels (about 1,100 euros), according to what the Palestinian agency Wafa has published.
For his part, the journalist’s lawyer, Nasser Odeh, has assured that he will appeal the court ruling.
Ghosheh was detained in East Jerusalem for “inciting the occupation” in her posts, for which the authorities also confiscated both her phone and personal computer.
Although she was released, she was placed under house arrest and was prohibited from using social media.
