Work continues on the high-speed line between Madrid and Andalusia, which began more than a month ago

SEVILLE, July 9 () –

The improvement works on the high-speed line in the province of Córdoba that began on June 1 continue the scheduled execution for four months. These actions on the track affect all the high-speed trains that link Seville, Málaga, Granada, Córdoba, Cádiz, Huelva and Algeciras with Madrid and Barcelona, and all the intermediate stops along the route, as well as the Avant services that connect Madrid with Ciudad Real and Puertollano, and with Toledo.

The limitation of the operational capacity of this line during the course of the works has meant the rescheduling of the offer, the modification of the usual schedules and slight increases in the travel times of these services, to adjust them to the marches established by Adif during the scheduled works and the incidents that may arise from these works, as indicated by the entity in a statement.

In the case of the Intercity Madrid-Algeciras, Renfe offers an alternative transport service during the development of the works that provides for the transfer by bus from Algeciras to Malaga and by AVE train from there to Madrid. Travelers with origin or destination in Ronda make the Madrid-Antequera route by AVE and the Antequera-Ronda route by bus.

These comprehensive renovation works on the infrastructure of the Madrid-Andalusia High-Speed line have collaterally affected the Conventional Media Distancia and Avant de Andalucía trains, which have also seen their usual schedules modified to adjust them to the marches established by Adif .

Likewise, these actions also entail changes in schedules and slight increases in travel times in the Avant services that link Madrid with Ciudad Real and Puertollano, and with Toledo.

VOLUNTARY COMMITMENT OF PUNCTUALITY

Despite the modifications derived from the improvement works carried out by Adif, Renfe maintains its Voluntary Commitment to Punctuality, the best in the world in the railway sector, for which 50% of the ticket will be returned on the AVE and Avant for longer delays to 15 minutes and one hundred percent for more than 30 minutes.

Travelers can check schedules and service information in the usual channels: App, www.renfe.com912 320 320, station ticket offices and travel agencies.

Since the start of these works, on June 1, Renfe has strengthened communication and information on these specific adjustments to the Andalucía High Speed and Long Distance service with an increase in customer service resources at all points.
