The National Government, through social prosperity, announced the beginning of the payment of the fifth cycle of the year (corresponding to May) of the Greater Colombia program, for more than 1.6 million beneficiaries.

In total, more than 139,750 million pesos were allocated to guarantee payment to beneficiaries throughout the country, who will receive 80,000 pesos.
The transfer is available from this Tuesday, July 4, to the 17th of the same month, at SuperGiros payment points and its allied network.
In Bogotá, the participating older people will receive, additionally, 50,000 pesos, through co-financing from the District Mayor’s Office, for a total 130,000 pesos.
Starting this year, Prosperidad Social implemented a home payment service for those over 90 years of age, people with disabilities and beneficiaries under 90 years of age who require this type of assistance due to their medical condition. In order to receive these payments, recipients need to update their address and phone information so the operator can coordinate delivery. The operator will communicate with the beneficiary to prevent any attempt at fraud or scam.

Social Prosperity will notify beneficiaries about the availability of resources by text message. It is important that, at the point of payment, older adults express their intention to collect the transfer of Colombia Mayor, and receive the money and count it in front of the cashier. They must request the payment slip and verify that the value corresponds to the one received.
To receive these resources it is not required to buy any product at the point of payment. To resolve doubts, beneficiaries can go to the municipal mayor’s office and contact the program link.
