July 2 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have attacked with warplanes the Syrian air defense battery from which an anti-aircraft missile was launched into Israel early on Sunday.
“IDF fighter jets are targeting inside the air defense battery from which the anti-aircraft missile was launched into Israeli territory,” Israeli Army spokesman Avichay Adraee said on Twitter.
This assault inside Syrian territory, Andraee explained, is “a response to the firing of an anti-aircraft missile from inside Syrian territory towards Israeli territory tonight.”
The Israeli Army spokesman has revealed that the aforementioned planes “have also attacked other targets in the area” and has assured, on the other hand, that no casualties have been reported as a result of the Syrian missile.
Hours before, Adraee himself had announced -also on his Twitter profile- that an anti-aircraft missile had been launched “from inside Syrian territory towards Israeli territory” and that the missile had exploded in the air.
