But now comes Sonic Origins Plus, an improved and expanded version of the collection that Sega launched last year to celebrate 30 years of this beloved character. Will this collection finally have what it takes to turn more people into true Sonic fans? Is this edition worth shelling out or just adding the DLC to last year’s version?

What includes?

Sonic Origins contains sonic the hedgehogthe original game released in 1991, its direct sequel, sonic the hedgehog 2 (1992), the adventure Sonic CD (1993) and the third official installment, sonic the hedgehog 3 (1994), together with its expansion Sonic & Knuckles. All of these titles were released for the Sega Genesis and its adapter, the Sega CD.

Plus content also includes 12 other Sonic games released for gamegearSega’s early ’90s handheld: Tails’ Sky Patrol, Tails Adventures, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble, Sonic Spinball, Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine, Sonic Blast, Sonic Drift, Sonic Drift 2, Sonic Labyrinth and Sonic Chaos.

Sonic Origins Plus sounds like a complete package and for many it is, but there are some details that should not be overlooked.
