They swindle a woman in Granada by posing as Brad Pitt and pretending to be in a romantic relationship, stealing 170,000 euros.
Brad Pitt will not marry, at least for now, any woman who lives in Granada. The scam suffered by this neighbor of one of the largest cities in Andalusia has caused social networks to explode and not with signs of support for her situation, in fact, it is quite the opposite.
Promises of marriage and a Photoshopped Brad Pitt. The woman from Granada has lost 170,000 euros in a scam that many Twitter users call the scam of the century. This victim has been deceived through a series of methods that, in truth, are far from sophisticated.
Brad Pitt and the woman, name unknown, met online. She was a regular on celebrity forums, finding a fan club for the actor on Facebook and this being the beginning of her fictional love affair. In Meta’s social network, her love arose with this white label Brad Pitt that she promised so much that in the end her words fell apart.
It was the woman’s lawyer, Antonio Estella Aroza, who told the story. The situation began at the beginning of 2022 and it has not been until now that the victim has been aware that everything was part of an extremely well-articulated scam and that, possibly, the scammer did not expect it to turn out so well.

Facebook has been the frame of the scam. The victim, open to love, did not hesitate to fall into Brad Pitt’s networks. The scammer managed to gain the trust of the victim through long conversations, sending photographs and establishing ties typical of a friendship made at a distance through social networks.
Throughout the entire relationship the situation became a constant demand for money. The scammer, posing as Brad Pitt, requested money transfers from the victim for reasons such as paying the necessary expenses so that he could come to Spain to record a film in which the victim would play a leading role.
Despite the fact that the situation is quite surreal, the montages sent by the scammer are even more so.. The victim received montages in which Brad Pitt appeared with messages intended for her, making the relationship seem real when what was happening was that they were montages intended to deceive her.
