Niantic cheered Pokémon GO players with a surprise update, but it was a mistake

Taking precedent into account, players believed it was too good to be true. However, community members who have contact with Niantic, such as JHHonda121they contacted the company, which confirmed that it was not a bug, but that the game was working as planned.

Unfortunately, the taste was very short-lived, since Niantic went publicly to speak about it and offered different information, since it revealed that some users were experiencing an increase in the current interaction radius and that it was an “unintended effect” derived from a bug fix intended to improve the experience when the device suffers from GPS drift.

Having cleared up the misunderstanding, the company confirmed that it would revert this change, but not before mentioning that it will take fan feedback into consideration in this case, which, as expected, left everyone angry.
