The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy, Josep Borrell, assured this Monday that the revolt of the mercenaries of the Wagner Group in Russia is a sign that the war in Ukraine is “cracking” power in Russia and “affecting his political system.

This Monday’s meeting in Luxembourg will be the first time in which the Twenty-seven will be able to discuss in person the crisis in Russia, which is on alert after the rebellion led this weekend by the group of mercenaries led by Yevgeni Prigozhin, which took the Russian city of Rostov, headquarters of the Russian military command for the south, and advanced several hundred kilometers towards the Russian capital.
