The pro-Russian authorities have raised this Monday to around 50 deaths due to the floods caused by the destruction of the Kajovka dam, in the Kherson region (south), an incident for which Russia and Ukraine have accused each other.
Sources from the emergency services have indicated in statements given to the Russian news agency TASS that two other bodies have been found in the last few hours, bringing the death toll to 48, with 126 hospitalized.
Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky accused “Russian terrorists” of destroying the dam “with an internal detonation”, while Kremlin spokesman Dimitri Peskov said it was “clear” and “deliberate” sabotage carried out Cape for Ukraine.
