Be careful, several applications have been discovered that were in the Google application store and whose sole objective was focused on stealing information.
Dangers lurk in every corner, and when it comes to Android devices, corners turn into apps. In fact, this may be what is happening in recent weeks. And, it is that, we have spent several days in which many headlines focus on talking about malicious applications that come to infect your phone.
The worst thing about this whole situation is that no operating system is free from malware, just a few days ago we commented on the news that malware had come to light that made no distinctions and that it affects both phones with the Android operating system and those that they had the operating system of those in Cupertino.
Now what has come to light is a new series of malicious applications that are designed to steal data and information from users who decide to install them and, above all, enter certain access credentials or grant permissions to access certain private sections of the mobile device.
Let’s see in detail the applications that integrate this malware and everything that can mean that you have one of them installed on your mobile device. The first thing to keep in mind is that many of these applications were within the Google application store. and, therefore, the user’s fault is not, although many want to believe that it is.
If some content is in Google’s own application store, the logical thing is that one does not have to tread carefully when downloading them and, logically, using them. But what happens is that the application store is not infallible and we have seen this on many occasions, so some caution must always be taken.
The applications that integrate malware are the following: Vlog Star Video Editor, Creative 3D Launcher, Wow Beauty Camera, Gif Emoji Keyboard, Freeglow Camera 1.0.0 and Coco Camera v1.1. These applications, which unfortunately seem completely harmless, are loaded with malware intended to steal information.
Unfortunately for everyone, these applications in total accumulate more than two million downloads. The recommendation in case you have any of them is to uninstall it as soon as possible in order to prevent them from stealing information or, if they have already done so, to stop having access to possible vulnerable accounts or applications.
