The Government of Venezuela has condemned the “terrorist threat” of the Wagner Group of mercenaries and its march on Moscow and has expressed its “absolute support” for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Venezuelan People and Government, strongly condemns the irrational threat of the Wagner group and its leader Yevgeni Prigozhin to promote an armed insurrection in the Russian Federation, through terrorist methods”, has published the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela.
Thus, Caracas has expressed its rejection of “any change of power or armed uprising by violent and unconstitutional means, as well as the use of external forces that bet on a civil war, attacking the sovereignty and self-determination of the Peoples, violating political stability and social peace of the Russian Federation”.
Finally, the Venezuelan authorities have expressed their “absolute support” for Putin and have expressed their “solidarity with the Russian people in the face of this attack against peace, stability and solid democracy in this sister country.”
