The maker of SK Hynix memories has launched its first device portable storage, the Beetle X31 SSD. This new external SSD has a tiny size, a look and color that lives up to its name, a beetle. In this new SSD unit, the technologies of the brand itself have been added, to offer maximum performance with reads and writes that around 1,000 MB/s.
The new Beetle X31 SSD has blended SK Hynix technologies from low consumption that are in your unit Gold P31along with some high specs for an SSD that are also found in the Platinum P41. Taken together, this new external SSD offers 1,050 MB/s sequential reads and 1,000 MB/s writes. In addition, the internal SSD offers a DRAM bufferunlike many other units that have decided to do without this technology to reduce costs.
Has a aluminum casing to protect the internal unit, and at the same time makes sink effective to keep the SSD at a good temperature. It also allows protect against falls the unit, since its resistance has been tested from a height of 2 meters. Thanks to its aluminum casing, the SSD has a weight of only 53 grams and measures 74x46x14.8 mm. Connects via a USB Type-C cable to type C or type A.
This new SK Hynix Beetle X31 will be available from end of June in capacities of 1TB and 512GBalthough for the moment no known recommended price.
