Traffic fines can become a headache for drivers if the corresponding payment is not made to remain in good standing with the mobility agencies.
In some cases, users prefer to postpone the cancellation of these infractions because they do not have enough money to carry out the process, causing interest to be added to the debt or even reaching the point that an embargo is generated.

The Bogotá District Mobility Secretariat grants payment facilities to debtors for traffic and transport violations and fines derived from the permanence of vehicles in the yards as a result of the violation of a traffic regulation.
Through this mechanism, drivers can pay off their debt gradually, through installments.

– Bank certification (no more than 30 days).
– Labor certification (no more than 30 days).
– Income statement of the last year (only for self-employed)
– A copy of a water, electricity or gas receipt from the residence address.
– Not being reported in the State Delinquent Debtors Bulletin.
– A personal reference, a family reference, a business reference. For this point, the names and surnames, cell phone number, address and email will be requested.
– Sworn statement before a Notary indicating place of residence, where your income comes from and whether or not you have assets in your name.

Key points of the procedure
In order to sign this agreement, the entity has established a minimum amount. For the validity 2023, this figure was defined at $1,045,455which already includes the capital and interest of the shareholder.
The value of the first installment will correspond to 40% of the total debt of the driver, who may make the payment within the first five (5) business days of making the pre-agreement. The following will cost $209,091 or more, depending on the amount of the fine.
Keep in mind that the minimum number of installments that you can subscribe is three and the maximum financing period for the fine is 60 months, that is, 5 years.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Mobility explains that in order to make payment agreements for more than 12 installments, it is necessary to present a guarantee that supports the debt. That is, a property or property, a bank guarantee, a pledge or mortgage, a trust, a personal guarantee (co-debtor that supports the debt) or, as a last option, an insurance policy.
In case of not complying with the agreed agreement, the debtor will receive a payment notification. If 90 days go by without paying the fee, the breach in the process is declared and the coercive collection begins.
