A game we can’t let die! Nintendo is making the remake of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars for the Nintendo Switch hybrid console, as announced in the most recent Nintendo Direct in June.
everything looks like Super Mario RPG will be a reinvention of the original title released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, also known as SNES, in 1996. The most nostalgic will remember that the role-playing game was developed by Square (now Square Enix) in collaboration with Nintendo.
The ad shows all of the iconic characters from the franchise with modern textures. Mallow and Geno reappear to the surprise of the community, as well as Birdo and Booster. The images anticipate that there will be no major change in the battle system. What we do highlight is the musicalization when making adaptations of the old glories of Nintendo.
Already wanting to give it a taste? You will have to wait until November 17, 2023 to purchase Super Mario RPG for the Nintendo Switch. For now, you can make the reservation from the eShop.
The story of Super Mario RPG
The story begins in the Mushroom Kingdom, where Mario receives an invitation from Princess Peach to attend a festival in her honor. However, when Mario and his friends arrive at the castle, Bowser breaks in and kidnaps the princess. During the chaos, a huge sword named Exor crashes into the castle, sending Mario flying away.
Mario wakes up in a place called Nimbus Land and meets Mallow, a young cloud who has lost his memory. Together, they decide to find Princess Peach and defeat Exor and his minions. Along their journey, they are joined by other characters such as Geno, a doll-shaped star spirit, and Bowser, who joins the group temporarily.
As the group travels deeper into the Star Realm, they discover that Exor is just one part of a larger plan to control the world. They must face various enemies, including Smithy, the leader of a gang of evil weapons manufacturers who threaten to destroy the kingdom.
