( Spanish) — The Undersecretary of Security and also in charge of intervention in Honduran prisons, Julissa Villanueva, reported acts of vandalism in the Támara women’s prison, located in the department of Francisco Morazán.
He also said that he responded with a “strong hand… we are not going to tolerate acts of vandalism or irregularities.”
“Immediate intervention with the accompaniment of firefighters, police and military is authorized; an emergency is declared,” added Villanueva.
