June 14 (Portaltic/EP) –
Vorwerk, the manufacturer of the Thermomix kitchen robot and the Kobold cleaning system, has reviewed its 140-year history at an event held in Madrid, which has also served to announce some brand news, such as the arrival of a limited edition of the Thermomix TM6 and the launch of the ‘Club Thermomix Lovers’.
Founded in 1883 as a high-quality carpet manufacturer, the company grew to expand its businesses ranging from real estate development to gramophone engines. The invention of the radio tanked the market for gramophones, leading the company to take an unexpected turn, turning the gramophone motor into the motor for its first model of Kobold vacuum cleaner, in 1929.
Later, in 1971, the company -already converted into a manufacturer of household appliances- introduces Thermomix, the first multifunctional kitchen robot launched on the market. Today, its products are sold all over the world and it has a community made up of 100,000 commercial agents and about 9,000 employees.
To celebrate this special date, Vorwerk has announced the launch of the ‘140th anniversary’ edition, a limited edition of Thermomix TM6 made of black fiberglass and a transport bag that will be available to customers from June 12 and for a limited time.
Likewise, the company has announced the Thermomix Lovers Club, a loyalty club to reward the company’s prescribers. “Thanks to your recommendations you will be able to get attractive gifts and products,” the company details. These awards include products, such as the Kobold VC100 handheld vacuum cleaneror a three-year subscription to its Cookidoo program, valued at 144 euros.
