Activision-Blizzard has announced that the fourth installment of the Diablo saga has broken the record for the game with the best launch in its entire history by managing to exceed “666” million dollars in copies sold during the first 5 days after its launch.
Diablo IV se has launched on June 6, with an early release on June 2 for people who had pre-ordered the special editions. The title maintains the essence of the Diablo saga, with a dark and bloody setting, now developed in a huge open world. It is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S and Series X.
Specific, the millions of players who have picked up Diablo IV have played over 276 million hours in total, which is equivalent to more than 30,000 years. This record also adds to that of becoming the most streamed Blizzard game on Twitch and other platforms since its early access launch until June 9.
The company has revealed some curious data from the figures that have been obtained these days in devil 4beyond the “666” million, 276 billion demons have been killed since early launch, players have died more than 316 million times, 163 players have reached the maximum level in Hardcore mode (game mode where if you die, the character and all your progress is lost forever), and more than 166 million groups to play with more people have been created throughout this week.
