Apple launched at the time the previous generation of the Mac Pro with Intel processors, and to this day, it was still the only company team to have company processors, until now, as it has been seen at WWDC 2023, Apple has updated the Mac Pro with M2 processors coming to the M2 Ultra.
As with the last generation, the M2 Ultra is made up of two M2 Max chips, thanks to which this team will have a whopping 24 CPU cores, 76 GPU cores, 192GB of unified memory and a 32-core Neural Engine that will allow us to have the maximum performance in artificial intelligence.
Among the specifications of this machine, which have not been revealed many, we found six PCI Express Gen 4 slots for the connection of additional cards that can help the performance of the equipment for our specific use, support for up to 6 Pro Display XDR displays, 8 Thunderbolt 4 ports, and enough performance to handle 22 8K ProRes video streams simultaneously.
For now, the price of the different configurations of this equipment is unknown, but it is clear that it will not be cheap at all, since the tower configuration will start from $7,000.
