Noctua has launched several products today, such as the second generation of what is possibly the company’s most important heatsink, the Noctua NH-D15, but it has also shown two prototypes of heatsinks based on the NH-U14S TR4-SP3 and the NH-D9 DX-4677 4Ubeing thus, probably, an evolution of the same.
Both coolers apparently come with compatibility with both sockets, so the 70x56mm contact surface should be enough to cover both chips. Also, as expected, these coolers support dual fan configurations for maximum performance under severe heat loads.
At the level of usability for the user, we will find Noctua NT-H2 thermal paste pre-applied in a hexagonal pattern that will allow us to have the right and necessary amount of thermal pastein addition to having an updated SecuFirm2 mounting system to facilitate the mounting of the heatsink and ensure a robust assembly.
For now, data such as the price are unknownbut the company believes that these heatsinks will hit the market in October of this year, so if we need one of these heatsinks, we may have to wait a while or opt for the model that already exists in stores.
