Motorola has presented this Thursday the family of folding razr 40which includes a more affordable model to extend this technology to a larger audience, and which accompanies its flagship, which debuts a large outdoor screen.

technology firm, Lenovo owned, has chosen Madrid for the debut of the new Razr 40 Ultra, the update of its flagship folding device, in which it maintains the essence of the Razr, that is, that it is easy to carry and use.

Razr 40 Ultra debuts a 3.6-inch outdoor screen, which has been designed so that “it is as similar to the interior screen”, especially for the user experience, as Motorola has highlighted. Any application works on it, and even some Google services, such as Maps, have been optimized for its size.

It also allows you to watch series and movies from streaming platforms, and play a catalog of compatible GameSnacks video games. When listening to music, the user will find that this screen is not limited to a basic player, thanks to a specific Spotify panel.

This outer screen supports customization, with a wide variety of dynamic wallpapers and clock designs. It is also possible to rearrange the panels that are displayed on the home screen, to access the most used services from here.

Motorola has assembled this screen with a pOLED panel, which offers a refresh rate of 144Hz, It also houses the external camera, which consists of two lenses signed by Sony: a 12MP one with optical image stabilizer and Dual Pixel PDAF instant focus, and another 13MP wide angle and macro .

The internal screen, which appears when the device is unfolded, reaches a diagonal of 6.9 inches with a 22:9 format, and offers Full HD+ resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate.. It houses a 32MP camera.

The company has also highlighted the compact design of this foldable, made possible by the hinge that allows it to be folded in half, without leaving gaps and with the upper and lower edges perfectly aligned.

This device works with the Android operating system, a SnapDragon 8+ Gen1 processor and a 3,800mAh battery, with 30W fast charging. It is available from this Thursday, for 1,199.99 euros (European market), in three colors: Viva Magenta (vegan leather finish), Black and Glacier Blue (both with a glass finish).

THE MOST ECONOMIC VERSION: RAZR 40

Motorola has presented a second foldable, Razr 40, with which materializes its intention to make more affordable this type of device so that a greater number of users can adopt it. Specifically, this model will arrive in mid-July with a price of €899.99 for the European market. It will be available in the colors Sage Green, Vanilla Cream and Summer Lilac.

Razr 40 maintains a small 1.5-inch outer screen for notifications and quick adjustments, the main aesthetic difference with its older brother. However, the camera improves, which houses a 64MP main lens with optical image stabilizer and a 13MP wide angle and macro lens. On the inside it has a 32MP camera.

When unfolded, Razr 40 also acquires a 6.9-inch diagonal with a 22:9 format and Full HD + resolution, although it reduces the refresh rate to 144Hz. It is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen1 processor, a 4,200Mah battery with 30W fast charging and the Android 13 operating system.
