How to locate your polling place for the elections in the State of Mexico and Coahuila 2023?

( Spanish) — Mexico holds elections in a couple of states on Sunday and practically everything is ready for citizens to go out and vote.

On the one hand, the State of Mexico will have an election for governor in the state. There are two candidates who will run for public office on June 4 election day: Alejandra del Moral (from the ‘Va por el Estado de México’ coalition between the PAN, PRI, PRD and Nueva Alianza Estado de México parties) and Delfina Gómez (of the common candidacy ‘Together we make history in the State of Mexico’ between the Morena, PT and PVEM parties).

Meanwhile, Coahuila is the other state that will have elections. A new governor will also be elected here, along with 25 local councils. The candidates for governor in the state are Manolo Jiménez Salinas (from the ‘Citizen Alliance for Security’ coalition between the PAN, PRI and PRD parties), Ricardo Mejía Berdeja (from the PT party), Evaristo Pérez Rivera (from the ‘Rescatemos Coahuila’ between the PVEM and UDC parties) and Armando Guadiana Tijerina (of the Morena party).

To be able to vote on Sunday in the elections of your state, you must bring your credential from the National Electoral Institute (INE) and you have to go specifically to the polling station that was assigned to you to cast your vote.

If you don’t know in which box you have to vote, don’t worry. Here we tell you an easy way to know it.

How to know my box to vote in the 2023 elections of the State of Mexico or Coahuila?

In order for citizens to know the exact address of their voting booth, the INE made the web tool called “Locate your box” available to the public.

This tool is available in each election process and, for the Sunday elections, it was updated since mid-May, according to the INE.

Here we tell you how to use it to know your box:

  1. Go into https://ubicatucasilla.ine.mx/
  2. Once there, you only need two more pieces of information: select your entity (State of Mexico or Coahuila) and write your electoral section number.
  3. Next, click on “Search” and that’s it, the box where you have to vote will appear.

Remember that the section number appears on your voting card. We leave you an example to find it easily:
