He Bank of the Republic announced the new calendar of interest rate decisions, press conferences and publication of minutes and Monetary Policy Report.
Banrep’s decision is based on the new dates when from National Administrative Department of Statistics (Dane) will release the monthly inflation data (the fifth business day of each month).
“In order to preserve the technical quality of the macroeconomic forecasting process carried out by the Banco de la República technical team and with it, of the information presented for monetary policy decision-making, the Board of Directors decided to adjust some dates of your meetings“, assured the entity.
This is how the calendar was established:
– The sessions of the board of directors of Banco de la República in which monetary policy decisions are made: last business day of the month.
– Statement and press conference: the same day of the meeting of the board of directors from 1:00 pm for the meetings in which monetary policy decisions are made.
– Monetary Policy Report: second business day following the January, April, July and October board of directors meeting.
– minutes: third business day following the meeting of the board of directors for meetings in which monetary policy decisions are made.
– Presentation of the Monetary Policy Report: fourth business day following the January, April, July and October board of directors meeting.
June 2023
– Friday 30: interest rate decision.
*The minutes of that meeting are published on July 6.
July 2023
– Monday 31: interest rate decision.
*Minutes of that meeting are released Aug. 3.
August 2023
– Thursday 31: ordinary meeting without decision.
September 2023
– Friday 29: interest rate decision.
*The minutes of that meeting are released Oct. 4.
October 2023
– Tuesday 31: interest rate decision.
*Minutes of that meeting are released Nov. 3.
November 2023
– Thursday 30: ordinary meeting without decision.
December 2023
– Tuesday 19: interest rate decision.
