The best day, until Barbie is seen having an existential crisis in all its glory.
“Some things have happened that could be related,” Barbie tells her friends, adding that she experienced a “cold shower” and fell off the roof, instead of floating like normal.
And that’s not the worst.

As Barbie tries to solve this problem, her first stop is to see “weird Barbie”, played by Kate McKinnon, who tells her she has to go to the “real world”.

And so begins Barbie’s journey with Ken through the real world. “Barbie in the real world? That’s impossible,” says a human named Gloria, played by America Ferrera.
As Cass Elliots’ “Make Your Own Kind of Music” plays in the background, clips of Barbie’s journey around the world are shown. We see Barbie being arrested, Ken attempting to perform an appendectomy on a human, and Barbie on the run from the villainous Mattel CEO played by Will Farrell, who is desperate to put her “back in a box.”
