A new version of the United Nations Regional Cartographic Conference for the Americas will be held in New York City, between August 19 and 23, 2013. Among the most important issues to be discussed is the report on the implementation of the resolutions adopted at the 9th Conference, an exhibition that will be in charge of the UN Statistics Division and the Executive Secretariat of CP – IDEA. A series of papers will also be presented on institutional, economic, political and strategic issues, collection, management and dissemination of geospatial data, good practices and applications for disaster risk reduction and climate change. Finally, a series of technical committee meetings will be held aimed at defining future actions that will be endorsed in the new Conference resolutions.
