DeckHD prepares to launch a 1200p display for the Steam Deck

It seems that some users have noticed how the resolution of the Steam Deck is not enough for their tastesomething relatively understandable considering that the vast majority of smartphones have a higher pixel density in smaller diagonals. It is because of that DeckHD is preparing to release a display enhancement.

Specifically, we find a 7-inch screen to replace the panel that the Steam Deck has, but that it would come with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels, 95% sRGB coverage, and an anti-reflective coating similar to what we can find in the most expensive model of the Steam Deck.

It is worth considering, however, whether the experience will be worth it. Being a portable console, it is expected that most users want to play with it, so having a higher resolution screen will make the hardwaredesigned for the lower resolution original screen, cannot provide a playable experience.

In the same way, DeckHD replacement does not feature full scalingso that if we want to play at resolutions that allow the Steam Deck to function correctly, it will either be resolutions without full scaling that provide a blurry image, or a resolution much lower than the original of the console.
