The coach of the Guatemala U-20 team, Rafael Loredo, accused a member of the Argentine delegation of espionage on Monday, one day before the match between the two teams.
“He recorded all the sheets that we have of the technical talk, for the defensive, for the offensive. He recorded everything. FIFA is very concerned about the fair play Because this is not fair game.” said Rafael Loredo, coach of the Central American team, to the media.
“FIFA is going to take care of this. There are photos and he is an accredited person. We have fully identified him,” added the coach, who stated that the event happened, after finishing the game in which his team fell 1-0 against New Zealand.
“There is nothing espionage. All lie. A person from our delegation wore the wrong outfit when they arrived at the stadium and, when he realized it, he left and they just saw him leave. He didn’t even go with the team on the bus. But no one took photos, no one filmed”, they stressed from the albiceleste entourage, as reported infobae.
As of the closing of this report, the Argentine Soccer Association did not respond to a request for comment from the voice of america.
The two teams selected will meet on Tuesday at the Madre de Ciudades stadium in Santiago del Estero, Argentina, for the second day of Group A of the U-20 World Cup.
