The great emergence of generative artificial intelligence

For technology lovers, the year 2023 has been marked by the hatching of generative AI. At present it is possible to generate texts, compose songs or draw with artificial intelligence. In this last field, that of creating images based on prompts, commands or requests, there has been a substantial improvement in a few months.

In fact, the flow of news about the arrival of new algorithms is constant. An example is the arrival of Google Bard, a clear response to OpenAI and its well-known ChatGPT. With GPT there are many tricks that can be implemented to generate text, translate fragments and more.

In this guide we want to focus on how to draw with artificial intelligence. We show you what are the steps you must take to get the most out of some of the most interesting algorithms in this field. In this way, you will not only know the options available to you, but also what you must do to use them in your day-to-day life.

Draw with AI thanks to Bing

Who was going to tell us just a year ago that we were going to talk so much about Bing? The Microsoft search engine has been incorporating Bing Chat for some time, a chatbot based on the GPT model designed to search. In fact, you can practically ask for the same thing as ChatGPT, since Bing Chat incorporates the same tricks and utilities, but with an Internet connection.

Born out of a generous investment by the former in the latter, however, the collaboration between Microsoft and OpenAI extends beyond the written word. Now the Microsoft search engine incorporates a DALL-E based image generator.

And best of all, for now, it’s completely free. How to use? Let’s see some basic steps:

  1. Access the URL www.bing.com/create. Do it from any browser. Unlike Bing Chat, with this tool you don’t have to do anything to enter from Chrome, for example.
  2. identify with your microsoft account. This is a required step, so if you don’t have an account, create one.
  3. On the main Bing Create screen, you’ll see a text field. This is where you should write your requests for an image to be generated.
  4. Additionally, you can explore other creations. If you click on each one of them, you will see the command that generated them, something that can serve as inspiration.
  5. In the text field, write what you want to draw. Do it in English, because, for now, no other language is supported.
  6. When you have the prompt ready, press on Create.

Once this is done, all you have to do is wait for four different proposals to appear on the screen. When you click inside each one, you will see the button Discharge.

The generated images have dimensions of 1024×1024 pixels and are in JPG format. Additionally, about this Bing service, you should know the following:

  • image history. In Bing Create you will have a history of creations to access them later.
  • boost credits. Although you don’t have to pay anything for the Bing Image Creator, you have a total of 100 credits per day to help your requests be processed faster. If you run out, you can still use Bing Creator, but it will take longer for the images to appear.
  • surprise me button. You will find this button next to the Create button and it is used to generate a random image. Use it if you don’t quite know how to start.

Midjourney, available via Discord

Midjourney is one of the AI to draw more recognized. In fact, it is the engine behind some iconic images that have appeared on the Internet in recent days, such as the fake arrest of donald trump or the photograph of Pope dressed in Balenciaga.
