Despite the fact that the most important video game event for decades will not return this year, there are several that have already confirmed their 2023 edition, such as Tokyo Game Show (TGS), which will be back to celebrate the connection with the virtual world in a time of revolution. .
We are slowly approaching the second half of the year, which means not only that Summer Game Fest 2023 and other events this season are near, but also the next edition of Tokyo Game Show.
As we told you months ago, the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association anticipated that Tokyo Game Show 2023 would be a reality later this year and today shared the official poster of the event.

When will Tokyo Game Show 2023 take place?
As in all editions, this year it will have a theme, which will be “games in motion, the world in revolution”. Likewise, the main art was presented, which captures said phrase, which you can see below.
If the art looks familiar to you, it’s because it was done by Kukka, the illustrator also responsible for the cover image of the 3 previous editions of the event.
In case you missed it: Tokyo Game Show 2022 was one of the editions of the event with fewer attendees for a simple reason.
“We play video games sometimes as a way to relax and sometimes to escape from reality,” Kukka commented (via Gematsu). “Based on this year’s theme, I drew game characters stretching their arms towards our physical world, in a composition as if you are being taken into the game world. I tried to create the artwork so that it would feel a lot of vibe and action. Mainly I wanted to feel a nice atmosphere there, so I used vivid colors and played with iconic video game elements like explosions and other effects.”
As it is a premature stage, no further details of the event are yet known, such as the companies that will be present, but it is expected that in July 2023 the guest list and other details will already be known.
Tokyo Game Show 2023 will be held from September 21 to 24 at Makuhari Messe, located in Chiba, Japan. As usual, at LEVEL UP we will have coverage of the most important announcements made at the event.
