Pixel ‘smartphone’ users report overheating and battery problems due to the Google ‘app’

Some users of Smartphones Pixel have reported recent problems related to the device overheatingjust like him excessive battery drain hardly making use of the terminal, pointing to the Google application as the culprit.

“Same thing is happening to my Pixel 6a. The phone is hot when not in use and the battery drains much faster. I noticed that the Google app and Android system intelligence were using a lot of battery“, posted a user in the Google Support Forum.

As shown by some screenshots shared by those affected, in the list of applications that have made the most use of the battery since the last charge, leads the Google application as the one that consumes the most. In this framework, users have pointed out that failures have begun to occur after a recent update of the ‘app’.

These battery and overheating issues have been identified in different models of both the Pixel 6 and the 7 series.
