May 5. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Polish Foreign Ministry has summoned the Russian ambassador in Warsaw, Sergei Andreyev, in protest against a series of death threats against the Polish diplomatic representative in Moscow, Krzysztof Krajewski.

Polish diplomacy has expressed in a statement its condemnation of statements made by Pawel Astajov, a former defender of minors in Russia, in which he insinuated about the murder of Ambassador Krajewski.

“The Polish side has expressed a strong protest about the situation and the expectation of the immediate initiation of criminal proceedings and the immediate punishment of the perpetrator,” the Polish Foreign Ministry said.

Astakhov recalled at the beginning of May the incident carried out last year by Andreyev, who was sprayed with red paint during an act in tribute to Soviet soldiers on the occasion of the day in commemoration of the allied victory in World War II.

Thus, the former defender of Russian minors acknowledged that at that time “he was waiting to see if they found the ambassador (Krajewski) floating in the Moskva River” as a measure “in response to the hostile demonstrations” against the Russian diplomat in Warsaw.
