May 4. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, has expressed his “total condemnation” of the “attempted assassination, to a degree of frustration”, allegedly committed against the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin.

Through a statement issued this Wednesday, Maduro also thanked the action of the Russian security forces, “who in a timely manner managed to neutralize two unmanned aerial vehicles directed at the Kremlin Palace, whose infamous intention was to attempt the life of President Putin.” .

He has also stressed that Venezuela’s position is against any act of aggression and that it threatens international peace and security, sending a message to “the competent authorities” to bring to justice “the material and intellectual authors who organized , financed and sponsored this damnable assassination attempt.”

The Russian presidency reported this Wednesday that it shot down two Ukrainian drones in the vicinity of the Kremlin whose objective would be to end the life of President Putin. From the outset, Moscow pointed to kyiv as the main culprit.

However, the Ukrainian authorities distanced themselves from the incident and President Zelenski himself pointed out that kyiv does not attack “neither Putin nor Moscow” and that Ukrainian attacks are always aimed at defending their own territory.
