Instagram users will be able to attach a song to a photo so that it plays in the feed

instagram has started testing a feature that will allow users of the social network to put a soundtrack to a photo, so that the song plays when someone sees this post in the feed.

The person in charge of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, has shared a novelty that he has begun to test on the social network in Brazil, Indonesia and Japan: the possibility of attaching music to a photo so that it sounds like a soundtrack in the ‘feed’.

From the photo editor you can attach a music clip of up to 90 seconds from the Instagram catalog. The song will be played when a follower accesses that photo in the ‘feed’.

Mosseri has stressed that photography is a central part of Instagramand that with this novelty they intend to make this content “more fun and attractive”, as he explains in a shared video On twitter.

The manager has also qualified that not all users of the social network have access to this feature as it is a test that they have activated with carousel Posts, in the three mentioned countries. The intention is to extend it to more parts of the world.
