The attack, which began shortly before midnight and was repeated early Wednesday morning (local time), was directed, according to the IDF, towards “a complex that served as a training camp for the Hamas terrorist organization (the Islamic Resistance Movement) and an organization’s military outpost containing an arms depot, a weapons production site, and an organization’s training complex.”
They have also reported an air alert in the Israeli area around the strip, as well as in the Israeli city of Ashkelon, in the early hours of Wednesday.
According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, at least five missiles have attacked several buildings and civilian homes in northwestern Gaza, with no injuries reported so far. Khan Yunis, in the south, and Jabalia, in the north, would also have been affected.
The attack comes amid a rise in tensions after the death of Jader Adnan, a senior Islamic Jihad official who had been on a hunger strike in an Israeli prison for more than 85 days, which has led to the launch of several projectiles. from Palestinian territories to Israel.
