May 2. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) charged Viacheslav Zanevski, former head of the security team of former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, on Tuesday for alleged “complicity with an aggressor state.”

Ukrainian intelligence has qualified that the charges have been imposed ‘in absentia’ since Zanevski is currently in Russia and has indicated that there is “sufficient evidence against him”.

Likewise, he has pointed out that the defendant, who was acting through one of his sons, who was supposedly part of the Russian forces, “has helped the Russian regime and has suppressed resistance movements” in areas such as Kherson or Mikolaiv.

In addition, he has maintained that he has been “advising the Russian troops on the tactics to follow when dealing with the Ukrainian forces,” according to information from the Ukrinform news agency.
