The crosses for this phase were raffled after the end of the LEC

The 2023 edition of the Mid-Season Invitational of League of Legends is very close to starting, and after a short wait since the draw for the brackets for its first stage of competition, Riot Games finally released the schedules for each of the series that will start the maximum dispute of the split.

For 6 days, the Cooper Box Arena in London will be the place where the teams from the minor regions will try to defy logic, by facing the finalists of the premier leagues in search of advancing to the long-awaited phase of the Keys.

So without further ado, it’s time to review what awaits us for the first days of the tournament in the capital of the United Kingdom, in addition to preparing ourselves for several days of great action from the early hours of the day.

Kicking off the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational, fans of the competitive game will be treated to a long-awaited duel between PSG Talon and Detonation FocusMe, who arrive on the London stage as the PCS and LJL champions respectively. Both titans gave a lot to talk about last season, and being among the favorites to win the pass to the next round, this series will show that the league has more power in a region as competitive as Asia.

After this clash, we will have an unprecedented confrontation between G2 Esports (LEC) and LOUD (CBLOL), with these two teams looking to consolidate themselves for what will be their next duel. On the one hand, the multi-time European champion will try to show that they are in good shape to fight for their second international medal, while the two-time champions from Brazil will do what is necessary to ruin the party for them and reach the next stage for the first time.

For the second day, we will witness the return of Movistar R7 (LLA) to MSI after several years of absence, although they will have a huge rival waiting for them with the debut of Bilibili Gaming (LPL). The Chinese runner-up arrives here as one of the great candidates for the Keys phase, after leaving teams like EDG and RNG on the road, so the Latino squad will have to do everything possible to break expectations.

The first round will close with the clash between Golden Guardians (LCS) and GAM Esports (VCS), this being one of the most anticipated series by fans in North America and Vietnam. This rivalry between 2 such contrasting leagues has only grown in recent years, so this will be another chapter between the veteran competition from the West against the famous aggressiveness of the Vietnamese league.
