Microsoft has launched the app Mobile Link for iOS at a global level, which will allow an iPhone to be linked to a Windows 11 computer to perform basic mobile phone actions on the latter.
Mobile Link first appeared in 2020 under the name of Your Phone with the purpose of linking an Android ‘smartphone’ to a Windows computer to use installed applications on a larger screen.
The application is available from this Wednesday for iOS devices (Mobile Link for iOS) with compatibility for Windows 11 computers, and can be found in 39 languages in 85 markets around the world.
To the pair an iPhone with a PC, the user will find that he can make calls, send messages and access the list of contacts on his mobile. Notifications will also reach the computer and it will allow access to the integration with iCloud through the Photos app for Windows 11.
On the contrary, does not support features such as group messaging chats and media file sharingas the technology company qualifies in its official blog.
Link Mobile for iOS requires a version of this operating system 14 or higher, a Windows device and Bluetooth connectivity. At the moment, it does not support devices with iPadOS or MacOS.
