Opera presents Opera One, the modular redesign adapted to the generative AI of its browser

25 Apr. (Portaltic/EP) –

opera has presented Opera One, the version of the browser with a modular design and ready to adapt to new features based on generative artificial intelligence (AI) that will replace its flagship browser for Windows, MacOS and Linux later this year.

Opera One is the latest announcement that its managers make regarding the implementation of generative AI in their products, after recently reporting features such as AI Prompts and the integration of the popular ChatGPT and ChatSonic in the browser’s sidebar.

The company is now looking “transform the way users interact with their browser, providing a more fluid and intuitive experience”, and for this it has facilitated the early access version of Opera One.

The new version of the browser adopts a modular design with which it will offer more power and functions and will bearthe new developments of generative AI“, which will be incorporated in the future both in the sidebar and in the address bar, as indicated by Opera in a press release.

Opera One also includes ChatGPT, ChatSonic and the new feature of IA Prompts enabled by default.

On the other hand, the browser has incorporated a new multithreaded composerwith which it improves performance, and acquires more speed and fluidity in the user interface.

With the multithreaded composer you also enable the ‘Tab Islands’ function or tab islands, that allows you to keep several related tabs together, in contextual groups. Each island of tabs will be marked by borders and a different color for easy identification.

Opera’s Product Director, Joanna Czajka, has also noted that “Opera One is Opera’s first step towards a smart and modular design” and includes the release of your own AI engine, which will arrive in the coming months. The company expects to replace its flagship browser for Windows, MacOS, and Linux with this new version later this year.
