It is the first European evacuation mission that confirms its arrival on the continent

The German Foreign Ministry confirmed on Monday the arrival in Berlin of 101 citizens evacuated from Sudan on Sunday night, the first European evacuation convoy to confirm their arrival on the continent.
Through a message on Twitter, the Ministry has confirmed that the 101 people, both German and other unspecified nationalities, have arrived in Berlin at 06:15 in the morning from Jordan, where they traveled on Sunday night.
They have also specified that the evacuation has been carried out with an Air Force Airbus A321 and that “more evacuation flights are planned whenever the security situation allows.”
Germany confirmed on Sunday night that its Defense and Foreign Ministries had coordinated to extract an undetermined number of citizens from the country in conflict, with German priority but space for Europeans and people from third countries.
According to the German chain Tagesschau, a second plane with 113 evacuees would be on its way to Jordan at this time, while a third plane would still be in Sudan, totaling around 300 people.
Around a dozen countries and international organizations began field operations on the night of Sunday to Monday to remove their citizens from the capital of Sudan, Khartoum, plunged into a spiral of violence due to the fighting that began a week ago between the Sudanese Army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
Spain, together with countries such as the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Egypt, Belgium or the Netherlands, announced on Sunday the start of its evacuation operations. Among others, Jordan confirmed the arrival of 343 people in Amman early Monday morning, while Canada and the United States have evacuated their diplomatic staff and have announced the cessation of their operations in Sudan.
According to the latest figures from the World Health Organization (WHO), at least 420 people have died and 3,700 have been injured since the start of the conflict, while the Sudanese are also abandoned to the capital, the focus of the clashes, and where they are still there would be tens of thousands of people trapped in their homes.
