Alphabet unifies Google AI and DeepMind teams in a new work unit

The teams currently investigating artificial intelligence (IA) under the umbrella of Alphabet have merged into a new unit under the name of Google DeepMind, with the aim of speeding up work and bringing this technology to billions of people.

The Google and DeepMind teams have been working together for months to compete and overcome the dominance of OpenAI and Microsoft in the area of ​​AI, the one that until the appearance of ChatGPT in November last year was held by the two Alphabet teams.
