There will be no E3 2023, but THQ Nordic has already confirmed its event full of announcements and surprises

This year, like the previous ones, there will be no E3, but that does not mean that the summer will be empty in terms of video game announcements. On the contrary, the important season of revelations and events is slowly taking shape and a major company has just confirmed that it will hold a presentation with many surprises.

In the absence of E3, video game companies have no choice but to be part of an event that brings together all the announcements or make their own presentation. Precisely THQ Nordic will be one of the last, since it has already revealed that it will bring back its annual event.

When will the THQ Nordic presentation be?

Fortunately, this year there will be no soccer World Cup, so the Austrian subsidiary of the Embracer Group reported that in mid-2023 it will hold the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2023, a new edition of the event it has organized in recent years.

On this occasion, the event will be digital and will take place on August 11 at 1:00 PM (Mexico City time). While the event will be weeks after the heavy announcement season led by Summer Game Fest and individual events from companies like Microsoft, fans of THQ Nordic IPs won’t want to miss the event, as it is anticipated that there will be “a lots of game announcements and project updates.”

In case you missed it: Embracer Group plans to release 100 games in the next few years.

Naturally, there are not many details about the games that will be present at the event, but it has been confirmed that there will be a previous show that will be run by the HandyGames studio. Later, already in the event, there will be both scoops and news of already announced games, such as Alone in the Dark, Outcast 2 and Trine 5.
