Environmental assessment systems and regional cooperation for the implementation of the Escazú Agreement

The event associated with the Second Conference of the Parties to the Escazú Agreement: “Environmental assessment systems and regional cooperation for the implementation of the Escazú Agreement” was held on April 21 and 22, 2023 by the Ministry of the Environment of Argentina, the German Cooperation and ECLAC. This event made it possible to strengthen international cooperation in terms of environmental impact assessments, share experiences in participation schemes, strengthen the Latin American Network of Environmental Assessment Systems (REDLASEIA) and advance in the most incipient issues related to environmental licensing. This event was attended by the Vice Minister of the Environment of Ecuador and Directors and representatives of the environmental licensing institutions of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Uruguay.
