20 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Swiss authorities have summoned the Russian ambassador to the country, Sergei Garmonin, on Thursday to protest a publication made by the diplomatic legation about a Swiss journalist.

The country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has indicated that the Government thus seeks to express its rejection of the condemnation expressed by the Embassy of an article written by the correspondent Ivo Mijnssen, of the newspaper ‘Neue Zurcher Zeitung’, as the Government has indicated in a release.

According to the Embassy note, the correspondent published an article in which he addressed the alleged activities of “Ukrainian terrorists” in the city of Melitopol, which they understood as a “sympathetic tone” towards the Ukrainian side in full invasion of the territory.

In this sense, the diplomatic legation recalled that such positions are part of the Russian Penal Code and constitute a crime.
