iOS 17 should bring sideloading of apps according to the latest rumors

Bells have been ringing for a while now regarding iOS 17 and the ability to sideload appsbeing able to skip the App Store when installing certain applications that are no longer certified by Apple to work on your devices –because they are obsolete or for any other reason.

In addition, we should be able to use alternative storesso that some developers can decide who they give their share of the money for the distribution of applications, controversy that was coming quite famously from Epic Games and their refusal to abide by Apple’s terms regarding their share of the profits.

Obviously, this does not come by grace from Apple, but rather a change in European regulations in the form of the Digital Market Act It would be the one that will force Apple in 2024 to allow the sideloading of applications on the devices of the company’s ecosystem.

In principle, iOS 17 should be the company’s first mobile operating system that will allow side-loading of apps, with an announcement that will probably arrive during this year’s WWDC, along with news, for example, related to virtual reality.
