At least nine people have died and 21 have been injured this Friday after a Russian bombardment in the city of Sloviansk, in Donetsk, as reported by the spokeswoman for the State Emergency Service of this region, Veronika Bakhal, on her Telegram account.
“At 11:50 p.m. (local time), rescuers recovered the body of a dead woman from under the rubble of an apartment building in Sloviansk. The search for four other people continues,” Bakhal explained.
“According to preliminary data, S-300 missiles were used. Five high-rise buildings, five private houses, a store, a business center, a recreation club and three cars have been damaged,” Kirilenko reported, according to the agency. UNIAN news.
The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, has echoed the attack, which occurred around 4:00 p.m. (local time) and has assured in his Telegram profile that there will be “responsibilities” for each “manifestation of terrorism” from Moscow.
“We will not leave a single trace of Russia on our lands and the enemy will not go unpunished,” he said.
Sloviansk suffered a series of Russian bombardments against civilian infrastructure the day before.
One of the projectiles hit the courtyard of a school, as denounced by the regional Ukrainian authorities, the Ukrinform news agency has collected.
